WHAT IS GRIZZ SPORTS?

Grizz Sports provides customized and structured Camps and Clinics for youth athletes, boys and girls, from the ages of 6 - 13. Our philosophy is to help develop players skills and knowledge to the best of their abilities in Baseball, Basketball, and Football. These camps & clinics are taught by High School and College coaches, as well as past college and pro athletes. Grizz Sports also offers customized clinics and seminars for coaches. These classroom sessions are taught by knowledgeable coaches and referees and are designed to help further a coaches knowledge of the complete game. First time coaches and veteran coaches can gain valuable insight into today's youth sport athletes.We also offer classroom sessions designed to help mothers, fathers, aunts, and uncles learn the rules and language of the sports their youngsters are playing.


















MISSION STATEMENT

Our goal at Grizz Sports is to provide a FUN and ENTHUSIASTIC environment for each young athlete and their parent(s). We will provide a POSITIVE atmosphere where kids can participate and have fun learning each sport without the pressure that comes with trying out for elite teams. We believe very strongly in putting the FUNandMENTALaspects into each sports fundamentals. We want young athletes to build and improve upon their knowledge, skills, and PASSION for playing sports.

Bruce Janczak, DIRECTOR
-36 years of coaching experience at all levels - Basketball, Football, Baseball, Track,
and Soccer.
-Helped develop the Brookfield & Muskego area's Select Club programs.
-Selected as the WIBL Coach of the Year.
-Coached Brookfield Central, Waukesha West, and New Berlin Youth Basketball 
Programs to 5 State Tournaments.
-Coached Catholic Memorial Jr. Crusaders program for 4 years.
-Highly involved with many youth area programs and has attendedmany instructional 
basketball camps taught by some of the great Pro & College coaches of our time.
-Developed clinics and camps for all levels using these great techniques for years.
Obtained following reffereing cartifications:
-WIAA Certified Football Official
-WIAA Certified Basketball Official
-National Federation State High School Lacrosse Official

Steve Grzeskiewicz, CAMP INSTRUCTOR
-Attended Oklahoma State University on a baseball scholarship and ended his collegiate career at the University of Wisconsin - Parkside.  Arm trouble cut his Major League ambitions short but he played in many leagues around the greater Milwaukee and Waukesha areas until 2004.
-Attended Franklin High School where Steve was a 4 year starter on the Varsity Baseball team and a -3 year starter on the Varsity Basketball team. Steve had college scholarship opportunities in both baseball and basketball.
-Coaching experience includes 3 years of basketball and 2 years of football at Franklin High School.
-Coached more than 5 years of basketball at the youth level in the Milwaukee area.
-Played and learned from some of baseball's Major Leagues best. Grizz would like to share his passion and knowledge of sports that he has obtained from these great coach’s and players with today’s youth.

-Coach Hamilton was a First team All-American and the #1 recruited player in the nation while at Pius XI High School. She went on to play at the University of Notre Dame on a full scholarship. She began her Varsity coaching career at Greendale High School in 1991 before accepting the Varsity Girls basketball position at Arrowhead High School in 1993. She was the Varsity coach until 2001, leading her teams to 4 Sectional Final appearances, as well as a State Tournament appearance in Madison in 1996. She was named “Coach of the Year,” by the Waukesha Freeman in 1996 and 2008. Coach Hamilton resigned from coaching in 2001 to start a family. She has a son Alec who is 10 and a daughter Aubrey who is 8. This is her third year back and she is excited about the upcoming season!

Ted Lang MS, C.S.C.S.,SPORTS PERFORMANCE INSTRUCTOR, NIKE SPARQ
Ted Lang has 22 years experience in training athletes. His programs have earned the praise of pro, college, & high school coaches across the country. He has worked with over 150 NFL players, 250 Major & Minor League Baseball players, many NBA & Europe Basketball Players, thousands of youth, high school & college athletes of all sports. He is a former college coach & athlete with a Masters Degree in Health Science. He has worked at Florida State University, Tulane University,UW-Oshkosh, Milwaukee Brewers, New Orleans Saints & consultant to the Atlanta Braves. He is a certified Nike SPARQ Trainer & a certified Masters Trainer in Speed & Strength Development. An Exercise Physiologist who has authored numerous articles and research on athletic development. He is also a speaker at coach’s clinics throughout the country.

Rob Boyce, SPORTS PERFORMANCE INSTRUCTOR
Rob graduated from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Fitness Management. He interned at the Columbia Musculoskeletal Institute and continued to work in a wellness setting along side of doctors and exercise physiologists. In addition to experience in the health care setting Rob has been personal training for over 10 years. He was a sports performance director for the last two years in Hartland and has worked with many athletes to improve their speed, 
quickness, agility, vertical jump and over all athleticism Rob has worked with many elite athletes including Javon Walker formerly of the Green Bay Packers and the Bejing Ducks Chinese Professional basketball team. Rob has also worked with many young baseball players improving their bat speed, throwing velocity, rotational power, shoulder stability, agility and speed around the bases and out of the box . He believes any athlete can be a diamond in the rough if they put forth the effort. Rob is a certified umpire through the Wisconsin Umpire Association (WUA) and a certified Stength and Conditioning Coach (CSCS) through the NSCA. Rob also runs Southwest Burbs Adventure Boot Camp for women (www.southwestburbsbootcamp.com) Our Staff also includes some of the areas top College and High School Coaches as well as some of the areas top strength, speed and agility coaches.

Kat Morrow, NUTRITION AND WELLNESS COACH
Kat is the owner of WildKat Wellness. As a Personal Fitness Trainer certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), and a Wellness Coach with Juice Plus+ “whole food” nutritional supplements, Kat shows her clients’ on how to look better, feel better and live longer through fitness and nutrition, especially a diet rich in fruits and vegetables. 

Focusing on athletes of all levels – from youth to pro - Kat emphasizes the importance of whole food nutrition for maximum performance and recovery. Whether it’s working directly with individuals, families and athletes, or through her workshops and seminars for groups and corporate wellness programs, Kat takes a deep personal interest in the success of each and every client through her education, hands-on coaching, support and motivation.
